Never Made A Penny? This Might Help…
So I know that most people who are online in the beginning start out with article marketing straight to blogs which promote an affiliate product… that’s great. It can work like a charm.
However, some people never see a sale and they just get frustrated, and eventually, they give up. That’s a terrible thing when there’s so much money to be made for everyone!
That’s why I’ve decided to share a resource I used in the very beginning that is almost guaranteed money. Granted, it’s not a lot, but it certainly proves that money can be made on the internet, and it certainly can give you a little boost when you’ve got nothing.
http://www.associatedcontent.com
Associated Content is an article directory site that takes things to a different approach.
They will actually pay you per unique article, and they actually pay a pretty decent amount.
So now instead of writing article after article promoting your blog and only getting a handful of views, you can just write your article, get paid for it, and write another.
Go check it out!
NOTE: This is a great way to get your feet wet, but I wouldn’t consider it a business. The real money is to be made when you actually have a website running and you have traffic coming to it from whatever methods you employ, article marketing being a good one. But this sure is a good way to get someone who has never seen any money online making something! So go test it out!

This is a great point that I think a lot of wannabe affiliate marketers or article writers miss. Getting paid for your work in the beginning is a lot more valuable than hoping for affiliate checks. I got my start at AC, and my content writing business hasn’t stopped growing since!

Hey Avery, I love your blog and videos. I have a question
Is it alright to publish my articles to more than one article directory(other than ezinearticles) to get a little more exposure? I’ve heard that this can be bad for search engine rankings. What about squidoo/digg too?

Ethan,
You can post your article to more than one place, however, it MAY hurt your search engine rankings due to Google’s duplicate content penalty. However, there are some people who say it doesn’t exist as hard as others say, and having your content in many places without having to rewrite it over and over can be good. It’s really a personal call.
Cristian, use your parents name.
That’s what I did before I turned 18.

Hey Steven
I was just discussing a FREE hosting company a couple of days ago on ComputerForums.org. Here’s the info again.
There’s a company called DotEasy that offers free hosting as long as you buy your domain name through them or transfer your domain to them.
They charge $25/year and less if you pay for multiple years in advance ($17/year for a 5 year plan).
It’s their basic package, there are no banners or ads, you use your own domain name (no Geocities kind of crap), 100mb Storage, 1000mb Monthly traffic, free email through your domain (10 email addresses), free blog, etc. Perfect for new and small businesses or personal sites.
Doteasy makes their money on their Ultra accounts; $7.95/month. I have a few of each kind of account. Ultra accounts are for people using things like CGI scripts for active forms, php, shopping carts, database stuff, etc.
If you break it down monthly to compare the cost, the most it comes to is a little over $2 a month. ($25/year for domain name). Pay for 5 years and it’s less than $1.50 a month!
That’s not bad at all. I just started building my new site (101-TechTips.com) that will be hosted by them.
Check them out at:

See ya!
